Kashmir University Issues Fresh Circular for Private Nursing, Paramedical Colleges
Srinagar, 16 December: The University of Kashmir has issued a circular directing all affiliated private nursing and allied healthcare (paramedical) colleges to submit detailed staff, salary, infrastructure and financial records within three days.
The directive has been issued by the Office of the Dean, College Development Council (CDC), University of Kashmir, and applies to all private nursing and paramedical institutions affiliated with the university.
According to the circular, colleges have been asked to furnish department-wise details of all teaching and non-teaching staff for the academic sessions 2023–24, 2024–25 and 2025–26. The university has also sought complete salary records of staff members, including debit and credit advices along with corresponding bank statements for the same period.
In addition, the institutions have been instructed to submit laboratory-wise lists of equipment available during each of the three sessions under review. The University has also demanded audited financial statements for all three financial years.
Officials said the move is aimed at strengthening academic oversight, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining transparency in private healthcare education institutions affiliated with the university.
The circular makes it clear that the required information must reach the Dean College Development Council’s office within three days from the date of issuance, indicating strict timelines for compliance.
The University of Kashmir, which holds NAAC Grade “A” accreditation and features in national rankings, has been periodically reviewing affiliated institutions to ensure adherence to academic, financial and infrastructural norms.
Further action is expected to follow based on the submissions made by the concerned colleges.
