JKBOSE Class 10th, 11th, 12th Results to Be Declared Soon, Sakina Itoo Confirms Dates

Srinagar, Jan 1: With anxious students counting days and parents refreshing official websites, clarity has finally begun to emerge on the much-awaited JKBOSE Class 10 Annual Regular 2025 results.

While speculation had been rife over an early January announcement, the Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday offered a more grounded timeline, indicating that the results are likely to be declared in the second week of January.

Speaking to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the minister said the Board is in the final stages of processing the results and has decided to announce Class 10 results first, before moving on to higher classes.

“Most likely, the results of annual regular exams of 10th standard will be declared in the second week of January,” Itoo said, adding that the Class 11th and 12th results will follow soon after.

Interestingly, this comes days after the JKBOSE Secretary had suggested that the Board was aiming for a first-week January declaration, citing steady progress in evaluation and compilation work. Officials now say the slight extension in the timeline is meant to ensure accuracy and smooth consolidation of data before public release.

The Class 10 Annual Regular examination, one of the largest academic exercises in the Union Territory, began on November 3, 2025, and saw the participation of over 94,000 students.

To manage the scale, JKBOSE established 994 examination centres across Jammu and Kashmir.

Of the total candidates:

  • 68,804 students appeared from the Kashmir division
  • 25,224 students belonged to the winter zone areas of Jammu division
  • Additional candidates included 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh

Officials said once the Class 10 results are declared, the Board will proceed with announcing the results of Class 11th and Class 12th, which are also expected within January.

Students have been advised to remain patient and follow only official JKBOSE updates, as rumours about result dates tend to peak during this period.

For thousands of students, the coming days will mark the end of a long wait; and the beginning of the next academic step.
