JKBOSE Issues Important Update for Class 9th Students, Details Here

Srinagar, Nov 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a revised notification regarding the online submission of Registration Returns (RRs) for Class 9th students of the Kashmir Division, including District Kargil of the Union Territory of Ladakh, for the academic session 2025.

The updated order, released by the Registration Section of JKBOSE’s Kashmir Division, modifies the earlier notification issued on October 8, 2025, and provides a fresh timeline for schools and students to complete their registration process through the official JKBOSE website — www.jkbose.nic.in.

According to the revised schedule, the online registration process will open on November 10, 2025, and remain active until November 27, 2025, for all on-roll eligible students of Class 9th in government and private institutions. The prescribed registration fee per candidate is Rs. 670.

Extended Deadlines with Late Fees

The Board has also provided an extended submission window with additional late fees for schools that miss the initial deadline. Those who fail to submit within the regular time frame can still register under the following three late-fee slabs:

  • From November 28 to December 7, 2025, with a late fee of Rs. 80 (total Rs. 750).
  • From December 8 to December 17, 2025, with a late fee of Rs. 90 (total Rs. 760).
  • From December 18 to December 27, 2025, with a late fee of Rs. 105 (total Rs. 775).

After December 27, 2025, no further extensions or grace periods will be granted. Schools have been advised to ensure that all registration details are submitted correctly and on time to avoid disqualification or penalties.

No Changes in Other Rules

JKBOSE clarified that except for the revised schedule, all other terms and conditions mentioned in the original notification remain unchanged. Schools are required to follow existing guidelines related to student eligibility, documentation, and verification before uploading registration data online.

The Board also stressed the importance of maintaining accuracy while filling out online registration details, as errors may lead to delays or rejection. Heads of institutions have been instructed to verify the entries before final submission.

The online registration of Class 9th students is an essential part of the JKBOSE record system, as it marks the official enrollment of students who will appear in Class 10th board examinations in 2026. The process ensures that every eligible student is accounted for in the official examination database and helps streamline the certification process later.

Schools and students have been advised to keep a printed copy of the acknowledgment receipt after submitting the registration details and to retain proof of fee payment for record verification.
