JKBOSE Result Class 10th, 12th Big Update, Dates Announced
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is set to declare the results of Class 10th and Class 12th Annual Regular examinations on Wednesday. The announcement was made by Education Minister Sakina Itoo, bringing long awaited relief to thousands of students across Jammu and Kashmir.
In an exclusive interaction, the Education Minister said that the government has decided to release the results of both classes on the same day so that students do not have to wait any longer. She said that the delay in result declaration had already caused anxiety among students and parents, and the government wanted to end the uncertainty at the earliest.
The Minister also clarified that the Result Declaration Committee will meet to approve the results. Since the post of JKBOSE Chairman is vacant, the results will be cleared through administrative approval by the Secretary JKBOSE and senior education officials, instead of the Chairman. She further said that the government will also appoint a permanent Chairman for JKBOSE after the declaration of results.
Officials of JKBOSE confirmed that Class 10th results will be announced in the morning, while the Class 12th results will be released later in the afternoon on the same day.
The delay in declaring results was mainly due to the absence of a permanent Chairman at JKBOSE. The previous officer holding additional charge retired at the end of December, which created a procedural deadlock because the law requires approval of the Result Declaration Committee before results can be notified.
This year, 94,783 students appeared in the Class 10th examination. Out of these, 68,804 students were from Kashmir, 25,224 from the winter zones of Jammu, while 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh were also enrolled.
For Class 12th, a total of 70,117 students were registered. Among them, 56,423 students belonged to Kashmir division and 13,694 students were from Jammu winter zone areas.
The Class 12th examinations began on November 8, 2025, while the Class 11th exams started from November 19, 2025. Over 81,622 students appeared in Class 11th exams, though their result will be announced separately later.
With the official confirmation now in place, students and parents across the Union Territory are eagerly waiting for Wednesday, when one of the most important academic announcements of the year will finally be made.
